Getting Started

Creating an account is free and takes under 2 minutes. Click "Join Free" at the top of the page, enter your first name, age, gender, and email address, and create a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your address and your account will be ready to use immediately.

Joining Klicktreff is always free. You can create a profile, browse matches, and receive messages at no cost. We offer an optional Premium membership that unlocks advanced features such as unlimited messaging, see who liked you, advanced filters, and profile boosts. Premium is never required to find a great match.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Klicktreff. This is a strict requirement and we actively verify user ages. If you believe a user under 18 has created an account, please report it immediately.

After registering, we send a verification email to the address you provided. Click the "Verify Email" button in that email. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder. You can also resend the verification email from your Account Settings page. Verification links expire after 24 hours.

Profile & Photos

Go to your Profile page (tap your avatar, then "Edit Profile"). Click the photo section to upload new photos or drag and drop. You can upload up to 9 photos. JPEG and PNG formats are supported, maximum 10MB per photo. Your first photo is your main profile picture — drag to reorder.

High-quality, recent photos showing your face clearly perform best. We recommend at least 3 photos.

The best profiles are authentic, specific, and positive. Here are our top tips:

  • Use at least 3 clear, recent photos — include at least one that shows your face and one that shows you doing something you enjoy.
  • Write a bio that reflects your personality — mention specific interests, not just generic hobbies.
  • Be clear about what you're looking for — this attracts the right people and saves everyone time.
  • Keep your bio concise: 3–5 sentences is ideal. Leave some mystery to prompt conversation.
  • Fill in your interests, occupation, and relationship goals for better match quality.

Profile verification confirms that you are a real person and that your photos are genuine. To verify, go to Settings > Verify Profile and follow the instructions — you'll be asked to take a selfie in a specific pose that our system compares to your profile photos. Verified profiles receive a blue checkmark and get significantly more matches.

Yes. Go to Settings > Privacy > Profile Visibility. You can set your profile to "Hidden" (only people you've already matched with can see you) or "Invisible" (completely hidden from all searches). You can toggle visibility on/off at any time without losing your matches or messages.

Matching

Our matching engine analyses dozens of compatibility signals beyond just location and age. It considers your stated preferences, relationship goals, interests, activity patterns, and — over time — which profiles you engage with most positively. The more you interact on the platform, the more accurately your matches improve.

We prioritise quality over quantity. You'll receive fewer, better matches rather than an overwhelming number of low-compatibility suggestions.

Don't worry — this is usually easy to fix. The most common reasons for few matches are:

  • Too few photos — profiles with 3+ photos get significantly more matches.
  • No bio — even a short, genuine bio makes a big difference.
  • Search radius too narrow — try expanding your location filter.
  • Age range too restrictive — widening your preferences opens more possibilities.
  • Profile not verified — verified profiles rank higher in suggestions.

Try completing all profile sections and adding a verified photo. Most members see an immediate increase in matches after doing this.

Yes. Open the conversation with that person, tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top right corner, and select "Unmatch". The match and all associated messages will be removed from both sides. Unmatching is permanent and cannot be undone. The other person will not be notified, but they will no longer see your profile or messages.

Messaging

By default, only people you have mutually matched with can send you messages. This means both you and the other person must have expressed interest in each other first. This design prevents unwanted messages and ensures all conversations start from a place of mutual interest.

Premium members have additional options to send a limited number of "icebreaker" messages to profiles they like before a mutual match.

Open the person's profile or your conversation with them. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) and select "Block". Blocking removes the match, hides both profiles from each other, and prevents any future interaction. Blocked users cannot see you in search results.

If you are blocking someone due to concerning behaviour, please also submit a report so our safety team can investigate.

You can delete messages from your own view of the conversation at any time. Press and hold (or right-click on desktop) a message and select "Delete for Me". Note that this only removes it from your view — the other person may still see the message. For full deletion from both sides, both users must delete the message.

Account & Privacy

On the Sign In page, click "Forgot Password?". Enter your registered email address and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after 2 hours. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support@klicktreff.com.

You have the right to access all personal data we hold about you (Subject Access Request). Go to Settings > Privacy > Download My Data, or email privacy@klicktreff.com. We will provide your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm your decision. Account deletion is permanent — all your profile data, photos, matches, and messages will be deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone. If you're just taking a break, consider hiding your profile instead.

Billing & Premium

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings > Subscription > Cancel Plan. Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period — we do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months. After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan and you keep all your matches and messages.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), as well as PayPal. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

First, try logging out and back into your account — this refreshes your subscription status. If Premium features are still not appearing after 15 minutes, please contact our support team at support@klicktreff.com with your payment confirmation reference. We'll resolve billing issues within 1 business day.
